    The VI International Congress of Triatominae and Trypanosoma cruzi vectors will be held from October 24 to 28, 2022, in the city of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. It is organized by the Asociación Chagas con Ciencia y Conocimiento (ACCyC), the Autonomous University of Yucatán (UADY) and the IRD, that provided financial support. The UMR Intertryp is directly involved in this event since Etienne Waleckx, an UMR member, is responsible for the organization of this edition, and that other members of the UMR are part of the scientific and organization committees, and/or will participate as speakers (Philippe Solano, Jean-Mathieu Bart, Christian Barnabé, Anette Andrade, Antoine Amblard-Rambert).

    From October 3 to 5, two international scientific meetings involved INTERTRYP researchers. In Montpellier, the French Society of Microbiology SFM held its annual congress in Montpellier “La Microbiologie dans tous ses états”. The congress was organized around plenary sessions on topics such as viral (re)emergences (Ebola, Monkeypox), space microbiology, without forgetting the latest news on the SARS-Cov2 pandemic.

    Workshop "Empirical population genetics training course for beginners" in Cameroun

    A training course entitled "Introduction to empirical population genetics to support elimination of tropical diseases (GENEPOP-CAM)", was held from September 13 to 21, 2022, at the Centre for Research on Filariasis and other Tropical Diseases (CRFilMT). This training, organized by the "Research Center on Filariasis and other Tropical Diseases" and was made possible thanks to the Central Africa Clinical Research Network (CANTAM3) Career Development Fellowship programme, in collaboration with the Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases (CRID) in Yaoundé (Cameroon), the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) and the UMR Intertryp (IRD/CIRAD) represented by the researcher and trainer specialist in population genetics Thierry de Meeûs.

Indeed, we share the same goals, namely the improvement of health in Africa.
